Yes, we are open for business selling directly to those who venture to our Depot in O'okala. Situated on a corner of our property facing towards the Old Mamalaloa Hwy (about 100 yards from the Hawaiian Belt Road intersection). Please park so not to block our neighborhood or line of sight around the stop sign.
We carry all 25 of our cookie flavors in both Traditional and Gluten Free along with up to 7 flavors of flatbread (Both Gluten Free and Traditional). Online request for flatbreads are appreciated so we know how much to bake.
Update to Transitioning to Wholesale and Online
We are currently waiting on Governor Green to officially sign of on the final part of the bill. The law is in effect, the system to making it work is not. 3-6 months delay.
We're growing and changing. After years of testing, improving and growing a fan base, it's time to go big on Big Island. We have discontinued our Farmers Market presence to complete two mobile baking facilities to produce our cookies and flatbreads for wholesale. One for traditional wheat based flour baking and the other as a celiac safe gluten free production facility.
This means, soon you'll be able to go to your local grocery or convenience store any day of the week for our fresh baked cookies. Flatbreads will be rolled out slowly as we make sure freshness and logistics work.
January 1st, 2025 (See update above)
In the past, we've operated under cottage laws. This meant wholesale was not allowed and all sales had to be transacted in person (e.g. farmers markets). But as of January 1st, 2025, we will be able to offer our breads and cookies through third parties (e.g. grocery stores, restaurants, etc.). This is because two key laws were signed by Governor Green in July that allows baked goods to be sold beyond producer to end user to include resellers, online sales and restaurants.
Becoming fully licensed???
Yes, it is still a goal for us but due to where our operation is located (O'okala zoned agriculture), it makes financial and logistical sense to stay in Cottage Law standing for now. Our facilities must still uphold all license and food safety requirements and the new law does have some better oversight.
